Does anyone have a backup room for Wednesday, if Capital Factory is not available?
š Next month sounds like the plan of least residence. Thanks for sorting it, Norman.
I have some space but Iām down south. I have a couple tables and a projector. Seating for 15-20 or so and a projector.
That could work for me. What do y'all think? I'd probably go south in the afternoon and work at a coffee shop, to avoid rush hour traffic.
I wouldn't be able to make it south. I am at the Parmer campus tomorrow so it would be about an hour trip.
Sam will be unavailable for a while. I've messaged CF to find out if we've completed our paperwork or not.
CF did not respond. Do you guys want me to update the meetup for this location or would we rather cancel and schedule something on a date when we can give people (including our speaker) some advance notice? I'm probably not able to make it somewhere this week. I would only barely have time to get to CF if we did it.
I'm inclined to cancel for this month, but I can update the meetup page to whatever we want
I'm fine with either doing it or cancelling (though it would be good to have the actual address if this is happening). However, for anyone who isn't in this Slack chat, I think changing this today would be way too short notice and would be inclined to cancel the meeting. Ideally we could move it 1 week out to sort out everything with CF and that would also allow changing the day to the Monday that people seem to prefer. This would put the meeting day on the 13th. We could also save the talk for next month and just do a social tomorrow for everyone who is here right now (preferably indoors since it's going to get pretty cold).
My assumption is in the case of a social, someone here knows a suitable location. I'm not one to frequent coffee shops.
Maybe @mlimotte could pick a location
Ok - I think if our speaker has a preference and nobody else is speaking up, that's the way we'll go. Sorry for our disorganization, but hopefully we can get this sorted out for February. I'll cancel the meetup but advise people to look here for a possible informal clojure get-together
I'm down for a get together in a less southerly locale
