It’s been years since I heard anyone talk about hamachi. I used it before they become part of logmein. I assumed hamachi died sometime after. I guess not 🙂

i don't even know what that is 🙂

It was a way to create ad hoc VPNs. Let’s say you has a clojure app running and wanted me to hit it, but you are behind NAT or something. You could turn on hamachi and make a network that I could join and I’d be able to connect to it

It was popular with gamers.

You could run a game server locally and all your friends would be able to connect to it

Or imagine being able to share an nrepl

norman16:11:55

That could actually be quite fun
