@brownmoose3q another example from my repo 🙂 https://github.com/savelichalex/Souptitle/blob/master/android/app/src/main/java/com/teachbyfriends/MainActivity.java#L47
@brownmoose3q Hi, maybe this docs will help you: http://facebook.github.io/react-native/docs/native-modules-android.html
Especially the “Register the Module” part.
@martinklepsch Have you installed watchman?
brew install watchman
ah, is that a dependency? 😄 @tiensonqin
@martinklepsch Yeah, React Native needs it for watching changes.
@tiensonqin cool, will give it a shot. In the meantime I'm fighting with my login
process not returning, forcing me to restart my computer every now and then... 😕
@martinklepsch login for what, your PC? I haven’t experienced that, you’re too lucky, 🙂
Do you use zsh or else?
Maybe you need to check your .bashrc or .zshrc.
usually fish but even if I set my login shell to bash the result is the same
What’s in your ~/.profile
I don't have one
Either way, sorry for hijacking the thread, I'll just restart my computer lol 🙂
np, good luck!
It indeed was the lack of watchman
— not so great error. Should we document that dependency somewhere?
Got it running, nice!
@martinklepsch it's pretty much the first thing on https://facebook.github.io/react-native/docs/getting-started.html#content
but yeah, that's a terrible error message
you could add it here if you want: https://github.com/mjmeintjes/boot-react-native/wiki/Troubleshooting
I was a bit lazy (didn't uninstall & copy full error text) but I added it
Thanks for pointing, guys. Digging 🙂
