so it sounds like Google Closure Library is going into maintenance mode next week - nothing for us to immediately do, it's not really just going away but rather development is stopping.
they will accept patches, and then of course forking if necessary is not out of consideration
I think worries about the debug loader getting dropped etc. are kind of no longer a concern.
I am trying to figure out how Google is dealing w/ 3rd party libraries - specifically if they are leaning on tsickle for this problem

Steve Hicks from Google got in touch directly via email. I think there will be announcement on the GCC and GCL mailing lists next week.
