Clojurians Log v2

Hello. I'm working on a very small personal project, and I'm hitting a snag that feels very easy to resolve but I'm having a hard time with it: how do I dispatch an event outside of interacting with the gui or as a reaction of another event? I have an action that starts the connection of something. This connection can fail or succeeds, and has callbacks for those. I want to dispatch an event in those callbacks. In reframe, I'd just call dispatch, but it doesn't appear to be the case here? I feel like I'm missing something very simple.
