I'm glad people care about privacy. It's very important these days.
Sure, privacy is important, but that thread is full of people who don't understand what the recently-enacted privacy laws actually mean and don't understand how anonymized usage telemetry actually works.
(Besides, we really don't have any meaningful privacy online nor have we ever)
