That's a feature, not an issue, although I guess that's not immediately obvious.

So how do I get rid of the warnings?

Sorry for taking long to respond. Like the linked PR mentions, you need to inject [cider.nrepl/cider-middleware, cider.piggieback/wrap-cljs-repl] as nREPL middleware in CLJS projects, and not just [cider.nrepl/cider-middleware] . How do you start your project REPL? Is it via jack in or some other way?

I'm seeing these warnings too. It could be I'm doing something wrong. Here's an attempt a repro deps.edn:

I have this alias in deps.edn. I start shadow in a separate terminal and then connect to it from Calva in VS Code.

Yes, things seem to be working fine for me too. I'm just ignoring the warnings for now.

This indeed is a bug. Fix suggested in https://github.com/clojure-emacs/cider-nrepl/pull/1050. Thank you for reporting and providing the reproducer, @michaeljweaver @lee!
