Folks, a heads up: Atom community picked up the work, in a few days we got almost 20 new members, and we're working on making Atom stable and probably we'll work on rebranding the thing, so Chlorine is not dead yet - I'm just focusing my work on helping however I can on Atom side

Cool. Where is the work being done?

mauricio.szabo02:06:14

On Discord (https://discord.gg/CdSBwZMUCdSBwZMU) and we're making changes on forks of the atom-community/atom. I actually forked to AtomRebirth/atom too, with fear that people from the atom-community simply didn't care anymore, but actually the sunset announcement attracted lots of volunteers

Invalid/expired link. But that's okay.i really don't like discord anyway. I meant: where's the new repo?

seancorfield04:06:25

Found it: https://github.com/orgs/atom-community/repositories -- bit surprised you're willing to contribute to it while it's hosted on GitHub, given your position on Microsoft @U3Y18N0UC?

mauricio.szabo12:06:50

Yeah, I would prefer to fork on Gitlab but honestly, Atom is already breathing with the help of machines, I don't want to be one to pull another life-support system 😄

mauricio.szabo12:06:34

This is my fork, btw, which I'll merge back on community: https://github.com/AtomRebirth/atom

Also, yeah, I never liked Microsoft, gave them the benefit of doubt a while ago, they did not respond, but I'm not radical. My projects will not be on Github, but I still work on a company with GH-hosted code, I still contribute to GH repositories, and honestly, if I had to choose between Bitbucket, TFS, and some others I would still use Github 🙂

seancorfield19:06:07

Yeah, I have to use BB for work -- and much prefer GH 🙂 I've grown to like MS a lot more than Apple over the last decade but I know some folks will always view them as the "evil empire"...
