Dear Calva friends. Tomorrow I will be guest at https://www.youtube.com/@aproposclojure6984 where we will be streaming about the Calva Getting Started REPL experience. It’s at 20:00 CET (i’m bad with time zones so will not speculate in what time it is in other places). I’d love me some Calva friends in the audience. πŸ˜ƒ ❀️

I had to look up the time for myself, so I figured I'd share!

@pez I loved what you showed off today! Highlights for me: β€’ The origin story for PEZ! β€’ Just how useful expand selection is β€’ The keyboard shortcuts reference (I didn't know it existed!) β€’ Power tools: especially Dataspex β€’ The example projects bundled with Calva

I'm definitely a Calva beginner, so you can frame my comments in light of that.

Thanks for this feedback, @neumann! I think it’s time I get back to creating material, videos and whatever, about beginning with Calva and with Clojure. I am often hesitating to include much VS Code knowledge in the documentation, since I think people should find that stuff themselves. But on CalvaTV I could mix much more of that in. We all have blind spots about the editor we use daily. The Keyboard Shortcuts editor UI in VS Code is super powerful.

I'm happy to provide feedback! I know what you mean about trying to avoid duplicating VS Code information. For VS Code beginners like me, it's not clear with Calva ends and VS Code begins, so some basic information about VS Code is helpful. I'll keep sharing my ah-ha moments, and maybe that can help surface which VS Code things are worth mentioning. I'll also let you know what I find when I talk with other beginners.
