is there a way to force vscode to download the clojure-lsp server? setting up a new machine and running into and i think it failed to download since there is nothing in this location
[Error - 3:09:14 PM] Starting client failed
Launching server using command /Users/jmv/.vscode/extensions/betterthantomorrow.calva-2.0.247/clojure-lsp failed.
Maybe calva should have some consistency check like running clojure-lsp --version
to double check it downloaded correctly?
I think that reloading the VS Code window (Develoiper: Reload Window in the command palette) could do the trick.
is there any logging i could enable to see if the download failed? i feel like my company vpn may be blocking this
You probably should see it in the developer tools console. It sounds very plausible that a VPN could be a problem. Calva just assumes it will have access to Github to do the download.
You are welcome to file an issue about it. We could at the very least inform much better when this fails and why.
