VS Code generally keeps extensions updated for you. Maybe there is a setting for it. Anyway, the new repl prompt shouldn't be too different from the old one. I mostly miss the nice Calva logo. 😃

Calva friends: Now I need help testing again. It's an old PR with a change to how Jack-in is performed. So instead of using a Task (which it never really was), in this build we use a virtual terminal. It has implications in that we will be able to better keep control of the sessions started, mostly of importance for shadow-cljs jack-in. (That part is not utilised in the build, though, so things should just work as before if the build is OK.)
