Not sure if it’s a good place to ask, but is there way to start calva in non-leiningen environment? E.g. with only deps.edn

As long as your project supports nREPL and you have leiningen installed it should work. (The latter requirement should be removed, really, but currently Calva assumes leiningen is installed).
