Why do unqualified "." forms expand to the dot operator at macroexpansion time? what's the benefit?
. is the special form at the bottom
right, i'm just wondering why it doesn't go directly to the method or access, like with method values
method values are the exceptional case here and some early versions of it did go to . but .... it's complicated
we know things at different points of the analyzer and compiler and it ended up being easier to go directly in some of the qualified cases.
