I see a lein-template folder in the repo, do you still use leiningen for something or is it just a leftover from Luminus?

oh, clj-new uses the same template structure as leiningen

There's unfortunately a name clash with https://github.com/gregsh/Clojure-Kit, I wonder how SEO will get confused by this...

there's also http-kit. kit is a pretty bad name of you're optimizing for search engines ;)
