Does anyone want to take over as maintainer for Aleph/Manifold-adjacent libs byte-streams and byte-transforms? I'm looking to hand over the reins. Maintenance burden is extremely low (like maybe a couple issues/requests per year).
Willing to take over, or just looking to help out someone else?
To take over
Works for me. What's your github username? Also, they're under the aegis of clj-commons at this point, so let's ping @slipset and let him know.
Oh hey, you're at juxt? I met a guy here in Thailand who used to work there. Did you ever know a Jack Tolley?
@slipset Can you add vollcheck to byte-transforms? I have admin access on byte-streams, but not byte-transforms.
@j3k.walczak You've been invited for byte-streams.
Yes, I know him, he left juxt to work on his own software solutions, skilled engineer
I see him occasionally at our coworking spot. He's doing some Hubspot stuff, iirc.
OK, you have a pending invite to byte-streams. We apparently never set up the users correctly on byte-transforms when transferring it to clj-commons, since I'm not technically an admin. I asked Erik Assum (slipset) to add you.
Once you have write access, you or I should update the .github/CODEOWNERS files to point to you instead of me. (Github won't allow the change before then.)
Makes sense, thanks
They're both quite low-traffic. I think I see maybe a couple issues/PRs a year at this point. If/when you need to deploy a new release, look at how the other clj-commons repos do it, and talk to slipset. Whatever's in there probably predates the clj-commons switch, and may or may not work out of the box. Good luck!
@j3k.walczak I believe you should have an invite as a maintainer to byte-transforms.
Iām happy to help, have some experience maintaining kit-clj web framework
