This talk on the Java runtime https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXBGBovpH88 points at an interesting takeaway that while AI might make a language relatively less important it also makes the runtime more important. (Alongside other factors like reach, abstractions, eco-system etc.)
I 100% agree with that, and we barely scratched the surface here in my opinion. The models are trained on the lowest common denominator, but imagine if you specifically focused on taking advantage of something like Scheme or CL runtime where you have live reloading for everything, stuff is fully inspectable, you have a really tight turnaround loop between making a change and seeing the result.
Nada Amin had a great presentation at the 2014 Stangeloop that I always think about on this subject, and that is a kind of lism-vm-all-the-way-down, so you throw an exception and wind up in the lower level Lisp, and you can do that continuously: https://chara.epfl.ch/~amin/cv/ and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrKj4hYic5A
