Based on feedback from community members over recent months and discussions amongst the Admin Team, we’ve decided to run a trial with a new opt-in #announcements channel (which new members will auto-join) for anyone to announce new projects, new releases, and other things of interest to the community. We will shortly rename this channel (most likely to #lobby or something neutral) and then we will restrict it to admin only messages. We encourage folks who want to be kept up to date on Clojure news to join #announcements — unlike this channel, you will be able to leave it any time.
