or at least the permission to create channels at will from the gateway

It happened in other community I belong, but there I was able to get rid of the rooms by myself easily

I'll fire up Slack on my laptop and clean things up. And I'll discuss the IRC integration with the other Admins tomorrow.

I'll also check the permissions.

Can you DM me a list of the channels? Although I can probably figure them out from the Admin pages...

It's a good idea, it's just poorly implemented

they could lock down channels creation depending on user permissions for instance
