@mccraigmccraig: Thanks for the tip, I have been meaning to try Yada out, being fond of the libraries that I have already tried that have come out of the Juxt stable simple_smile

niwinz07:08:54

@maleghast: it is not a direct alternative of yada but maybe fits on you needs: https://github.com/funcool/catacumba

maleghast07:08:27

@niwinz: I will take a look, thanks simple_smile

mitchelkuijpers08:08:57

@maleghast: +1 for catacumba very straightforward

maleghast08:08:49

@mitchelkuijpers: I will take a look in more detail - my first-look at the code / docs is very encouraging.

ul08:08:30

@niwinz: are you using catacumba in production already?

niwinz09:08:18

@ul: I'm working in a project that uses it, but it is not already in production.

ul09:08:05

thanks, i'm in search for toolkit for new project

ul09:08:10

last time used immutant2

ul09:08:37

but it is quite heavy, i haven't used most of its features

ul09:08:50

http-kit is fine, but want to try smth new

ul09:08:54

to broad my view

niwinz09:08:52

I have build catacumba because I want something like aleph but more focused on web development

niwinz09:08:49

Fully asynchronous (not restricted directly by the ring spec)

niwinz09:08:05

and with backpressure awareness in websocket connections

niwinz09:08:38

it is pretty lightweight and very very extensible

cfleming11:08:23

@niwinz: Does catacumba provide any HTTP client functionality?

niwinz11:08:44

It is mainly focused in the http server part

cfleming11:08:41

@niwinz: Ok, thanks, just curious

niwinz11:08:10

😉 feel free ask any question \o/

@scriptor: this is an ubuntu image that might fit the bill as a foundational layer for a docker image: https://github.com/relevance/boomstick

razum2um14:08:27

anyone using spark with clojure? what is your experience?

slipset14:08:25

Out of curiosity, while reading this: http://www.clojure.net/2012/02/10/State/, doesn't m-bind look very much like standard middleware, like one uses in ring?

ska14:08:19

@daemianmack: Are you aware of the latest Ubuntu restrictions?

ska14:08:23

sorry for the noise

daemianmack14:08:31

@ska: i was not aware. glad it's not an issue, but thanks for the pointer!

jellea15:08:44

does anyone know if the name EDN is trademarked? I would like to use it in a library name (edncss)

jellea15:08:42

alexmiller: thanks in advance!

jsyeo: (late to the party here) EPL is a fairly direct descendant of (and replacement for) IBM’s open source license, CPL. Pointing out to your company’s lawyers that IBM’s lawyers are fine with (read: helped write) EPL might help.

Who wants to adopt my daughter for 3 months so I can go into a hole and build CLAWS, a competitor to https://github.com/servant-app/JAWS
